Protect Your Pet Through Vaccinations
Rabies, parvovirus, and distemper can spread quickly and have serious consequences for your pet’s health. Thankfully, vaccinations can keep these diseases from spreading while keeping your pet healthy! By vaccinating your pet on a regular schedule, your pet’s immune system will recognize and destroy any viruses or infections in their system before any damage is done. Protect your pet with vaccines, and they’ll be protected for life!
Do Vaccines Have Side Effects?
Just like with humans, if a vaccination reaction occurs, it’s usually mild. Your pet might feel lethargic after being vaccinated—particularly if it’s their first time—but this won’t last longer than a day or so. Your pet almost might feel a little sore at the vaccination site, but that’s also temporary!

Recommended Dog and Cat Vaccinations
Your pet might spend most of their life indoors, but that doesn’t mean they’re safe from diseases and viruses! At Crossroads Pet Hospital, we recommend that pets follow a customized vaccination schedule that caters to their lifestyle. Your veterinarian will establish this during your pet’s exam.
